What do coatings do for you?

Ceramic coatings act as a sacrificial layer on your paint and add extreme shine and the hydrophobic properties make it a lot easier to wash your car. These protective car coatings are becoming very popular in Tacoma and Pierce County because of the terrible driving conditions that our vehicles are exposed to.
Another way to understand Ceramic Coating is to look at them as the premium wax alternative. A Ceramic Coating creates a permanent or semi-permanent bond with a vehicle’s paint, meaning that it does not wash away or break down and does not require repeated application every few months.

About Ceramic Coatings

Fireball-USA Coatings has a full range of Ceramic coatings that will meet needs and help protect against sun damage and oxidation. Unlike traditional waxes and sealants, our coatings last for years of protection. Often measured in years, we have coatings that last from two to 10 years.
An often-overlooked benefit of ceramic coating your car is the way it repels dirt and other substances. A ceramic coating makes your car’s surface very smooth, filling in the imperfections of the clear coat beneath it, making it difficult for dirt to stick to the surface. This means you won’t have to wash your car as frequently. Also making your car easier to clean while maintaining a deep, glossy appearance

How is Ceramic Coating Applied?

Installing a ceramic coating is an extremely tedious process. Below is a breakdown of how ceramic coatings are installed.

  • 100% Hand Car Wash
Using PH neutral soap and a clean wash mitt and safe towel to dry.
  • Paint Decontamination
Clay bar treatment to mechanically decontaminate the paint followed by chemical decontamination with iron removers.
  • Labor intensive Machine Paint Correction
We must make your car’s paint as close to perfect as possible so that we don’t seal those defects under the coating.
  • Surface Cleansing Coating Prep
We apply an alcohol-based cleaning solution to give the coating a proper surface to bond too. Unlike wax coatings bond to your clear coat.
  • Tedious Panel by Panel Installation
We apply the coating panel-by-panel with an applicator and special soft towels to prevent further damage.

What is the difference between Ceramic Coating and Wax?

A ceramic coating bonds to your clear coat and a wax does not. A wax also diminishes with heat and chemicals ceramic coatings are chemically and UV resistant.
